Hey, I'm Dani 👋
I build mobile apps. I've gone through React Native in e-commerce, an app with millions of users, rescuing a startup as the sole mobile dev, and now I'm building my own app in native SwiftUI.
I've done Shopify and backend work along the way when it made sense, but mobile is my thing.
What I do
I work with startups and companies that need well-built mobile apps. Native iOS with SwiftUI, React Native when the project calls for it. I like the apps I build to feel actually native, not web wrappers with rounded corners.
Right now I'm building Kheper, my own iOS app. A block-based workout editor with custom drag-and-drop, fractional indexing, and Clean Architecture. It's the kind of project where I get to obsess over the details.
Few things, done well.
How I work
Currently in Pipa, Brazil. I work around 8-10 hours a day; when I can, I squeeze in volleyball or the gym. Been nomading for a year, Thailand before this.
I split my time between freelance mobile projects and building Kheper. I still keep the occasional Shopify client, but most of my day is native iOS code.
What I care about most is how apps feel. Not just whether they work, but whether every interaction has the right weight and response. You only get that with direct access to native APIs.
Tech stuff
SwiftUI, UIKit, React Native. I build with an enterprise mindset (clean architecture, proper testing, code that lasts) but I'm not precious about it. If a simpler solution gets to the user faster, that's what we're doing.
Years in companies taught me how to build systems that scale. Now I'm applying that to my own products.
